The Molten Backpack is the cheapest storage system you can purchase from the Rebirth Shop once unlocked. It costs 1,000 gems & can hold 400k units.

You would think that the "Molten Backpack" would be unlocked at the Molten Core layer due to its name & appearance. Maybe it was supposed to be but got moved on launch day?
